The Observatory
Accessed solely from the coat room, through a secret door, the Private Room is a hidden, unexpected space that breaks completely from the Bar and Ever’s aesthetic. It is a 19th-century observatory, and astronomical library, built by an eccentric west loop stockyard tycoon— a round room, open to the night sky through a retractable dome roof, with a large, antique telescope. Guests see a brilliant animated projection of the Milky Way, with an occasional shooting star. The animation is hypnotic & engaging, but not disruptive to conversation. The aesthetic in this room is vintage but eccentric, traditional luxury meets steampunk.
